We have temporarily removed the experimental MU Helper from the public MuStarnet Client 1.0.3.
Our server uses the classic MU 0.97 client. For this exact client there is no ready-made modern Helper that can simply be copied from newer seasons. The Helpers familiar from later MU versions depend on different client structures, skill logic and network handling. On 0.97, target selection, movement and attack range, skill packets, class buffs, monster respawn, item pickup and reconnect behaviour all have to be integrated and verified manually.
During public testing, the experimental implementation exposed problems that we consider unacceptable for a normal release: some skills could animate without dealing damage, Elf automation and party buff behaviour were inconsistent, movement and timing could behave incorrectly, and several edge cases caused disconnect or reconnect loops. We also saw behaviour that could look like abnormal game speed. Keeping an unstable automation system in the public client only creates more problems for players, so we decided to remove it instead of pretending the feature is ready.
This does not mean the idea is abandoned. All development work has been preserved internally. We will keep the Helper on our technical roadmap and return to it only after class-by-class testing is stable for DK/BK, DW, Elf and the rest of the supported gameplay. We are not announcing a release date until it works correctly and predictably.
Client 1.0.3 build 38 also removes the obsolete F7/F9 Helper hints, fixes the F9 freeze, restores the normal MuStarnet launcher window and cleans up files left by the retired test builds. Please start the game through MuStarnet.exe; the launcher will install the current build automatically.
If you still see old Helper messages or an outdated launcher after updating, fully close the game and launcher, then start MuStarnet.exe again.
Thank you to everyone who tested the experimental build and reported concrete problems. Removing a broken feature is better than leaving it enabled for appearance's sake.
